Bircham
Windmill
Standing in the heart of Norfolk's undulating fields,
Bircham Windmill now looks as it did over 100 years ago. At that
time over 300 mills ground corn for horse and cattle feed and bread-making
in Norfolk. |
Hunstanton
An elegant Victorian seaside resort which offers
something for everyone. Hunstanton boasts one of the country’s
top golf courses, with another one a short drive away at Brancaster.
It’s stunning striped cliffs mark the beginning
of miles of beaches backed by dunes, salt marshes and pine forests.
This area attracts bird and wildlife enthusiasts from all over the
world. The RSPB
Nature Reserves at Snettisham
and Titchwell
Marsh are only a short drive away.
Away from the coast this beautiful area of Norfolk
is studded with unspoiled villages and market towns such as Holt,
Downham
Market, Burnham
Market and King's
Lynn.
Only five miles from Hunstanton is the Royal Family’s
country retreat of Sandringham.
There are many stately homes to visit including nearby Holkham
Hall and Houghton
Hall.
If you are lucky enough to still be in Hunstanton
during the evening, then nothing could be lovelier than to sit on
a bench in the promenade gardens eating local fish and chips and
experience one of Hunstanton’s famed fabulous sunsets.
